Following careful consideration of various networking options, we have decided to join the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.

We initially considered a few other alternatives such as the Federation of Small Businesses, Real Business Club and BNI but only Chamber of Commerce and FSB fall into the set criteria. Mentioned criteria include - networking events frequency, benefits offered, criteria for membership and customer service by the organisation.

The initial screening of offerings resulted in those two organisation being preferred. We contacted by email both FSB and Chamber of Commerce with a set of simple questions to assess their level of customer service. FSB failed to respond within 60 days, while Chamber of Commerce responded after 7 days.

Although a week can hardly be considered a prompt response, it is still better than no response at all.

With this in mind we decided on joining Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.
